This position will include the responsibilities of a Professional Geotechnical Engineer. Being registered as a PEng in Alberta, British Columbia, or Saskatchewan is a requirement. Expert competency level in at least one (or more) of the type of geotechnical engineering services we provide is a must.

This position will require traveling across Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan. Having a Class 5 driver's license is a MUST, and the candidate may be required to drive company vehicles.
Owning a truck and using it for work is regarded as an asset (we pay standard rate mileage) but is not a requirement.

Technical Skills

having a degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or related field- preferably from a Canadian University, or having a minimum of four years of work experience in a geotechnical engineering position in Canada

visual classification of different local soils and rocks with reasonable accuracy

drilling experience and good knowledge of the local geology of Alberta, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia is viewed as an asset

previous work experience in testing of soils, concrete, and asphalt is considered an asset

previous work experience in construction QA/QC is deemed to be a valuable asset

previous work experience in light and heavy geotechnical design, mining, or oil and gas is regarded as an asset

competency in geotechnical engineering software is viewed as an asset
