JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Restorations Project Manager to oversee resotration and reconstruction projects from inception to completion that are caused by fire, smoke, wind, water, mold and asbestos. The ideal candidate will successfully coordinate all phases of the projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budgets, and compliance with safety and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, communication skills, and proficiency in restoration and rebuild construction management. The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in driving project success and client satisfaction working in conjunction with the Property Owners, Property Managers and Adjuster/ Insurance Company. .
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform site inspections, including after hours emergency services.
- Determine the extent of losses on new projects.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, and resource allocation.
- Communicate with home/business owners, insurance adjusters and sub-contractors.
- Coordinate and oversee sub-contractors and employees to successfully complete projects in a timely and efficient manner.
- Produce accurate estimates using Xactimate for work to be completed including pricing, budgets, profit margins, specifications, reports and invoicing.
- Ensure project documents are complete, current and uploaded into our system appropriately.
- Build relationships with existing client and generate new leads with adjusters and insurance companies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships in the industry.
- Monitor project progress regularly, adjusting schedules as needed while maintaining strict time management standards.
- Prepare progress reports, change orders, and project documentation in accordance with company policies.
- Oversee on-site activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years experience in the restoration industry as a project manager.
- Knowledge of building construction, materials, methods and codes.
- Experience with Xactimate, and XactAnalysis is a must.
- Skill in reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
- Water Remediation Technician (WRT), Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT), Odor Control Technician (OCT) certifications, (AMRT), Applied Microbial Remediation and Asbestos Worker Certification would be considered an asset.
- Detailed understanding of reconstruction practices for property that has suffered water, wind, mould, fire and vandalism damages.
- Proficiency in MS Office Skills (Excel, Word and Outlook).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Basic accounting competency with an understanding of invoicing, billing procedure.
- Analytical, detail oriented, hands on, and a team player.
- Customer service orientated with the ability to deal with customers in dynamic situations.
- Skilled at management of multiple projects, opportunity analysis and decision-making.
- Experience in developing timelines, scheduling, budgets etc.
- Proven track record of accurately estimating projects.
- Ability to manage and execute multiple projects at one time.
- Demonstrate sound work ethics.
- Flexible, adaptable and able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability in project management within the construction industry with proven leadership skills.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret construction schematics and technical documents accurately.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned with client expectations and regulatory requirements.
