Duties
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient store performance
- Lead, supervise, and motivate team members to achieve sales goals and deliver excellent customer service
- Manage merchandising efforts by organizing displays, pricing products accurately, and ensuring stock levels meet demand
- Handle payroll processing, cash handling, and bookkeeping to maintain financial accuracy and accountability
- Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing, onboarding new employees, and providing ongoing training & development
- Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for sales transactions, returns, and inventory management with precision
- Coordinate purchasing activities to maintain optimal inventory levels while adhering to budget constraints
- Implement marketing initiatives to promote products and enhance store visibility within the community
- Ensure compliance with company policies on cashiering, phone etiquette, and store safety procedures
- Conduct regular team meetings to foster communication skills, organizational skills, and leadership development
Skills
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence customers and vendors effectively
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities to serve diverse customer bases and improve communication within the team
- Proven experience in retail sales, supervising teams, and store management roles
- Excellent communication skills paired with active listening for superior customer service delivery
- Demonstrated proficiency in recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff members
- Sound knowledge of payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, pricing strategies, and math skills for financial accuracy
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, merchandising standards, and marketing tactics
- Exceptional organizational skills with time management expertise to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork while managing administrative responsibilities seamlessly
- Experience in supervising cashiering operations, store management tasks, and implementing sales management strategies
