We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong background in landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticulture. This role involves performing a variety of tasks related to the upkeep and enhancement of outdoor spaces, ensuring that they are aesthetically pleasing and healthy.
Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various landscaping projects.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution.
- Conduct gardening activities such as planting, weeding, and mulching to promote healthy plant growth.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain landscaping equipment.
- Participate in excavation projects as needed, ensuring proper techniques are followed for site preparation.
- Collaborate with team members to complete landscape construction projects on time and to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance or related fields is preferred.
- Knowledge of horticulture principles and practices is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with operating excavators and other heavy machinery is a plus.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to landscaping tasks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
