Job Title: Heavy Duty Mechanic (310T)

Our client in
Timmins, ON is actively looking for a
Heavy Duty Mechanic (310T) to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all service, maintenance, and repair work on Company vehicles and equipment
- Respond to on road service calls as required
- Complete all levels of preventive maintenance, including:
- Vehicle inspections
- Brake systems
- Electrical diagnostics and repairs
- Tire changes
- Oil and fluid changes
- Ensure all service and maintenance activities comply with regulatory requirements set by:
- Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO)
- Ministry of Labour (MOL)
- Ministry of the Environment (MOE)
- Complete and sign Motor Vehicle Inspection Station (MVIS) certifications as required
- Communicate with the Regional Manager to obtain approval for material and parts purchases
- Work safely at all times in accordance with provincial regulations and Company policies
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Valid 310T Truck and Coach Technician License
- Valid Ontario G Class Driver's License
- 3–5 years of experience as a licensed mechanic
- Strong experience working with diesel trucks
- AZ or DZ license considered an asset
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience in the waste industry considered an asset
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive hourly wage: $51–$56 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
- $5,000 signing bonus
- Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates, ranging from $5,000–$10,000 depending on circumstances

Schedule Options:
We offer flexible scheduling to support work-life balance, including:
- 5 days x 8-hour shifts (standard schedule)
- 4 days x 10-hour shifts
- 7 days on / 7 days off rotation
Shift availability includes:
- Morning shifts
- Afternoon shifts
Note: Availability of 4x10 and 7-on/7-off schedules may depend on staffing requirements and team coverage.
