Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Framing Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing frameworks and structures using various materials and tools. This role requires a strong understanding of carpentry principles, blueprint reading, and the ability to work efficiently on diverse projects including residential, commercial, and restoration sites. The position offers an opportunity to work on challenging projects that require precision, craftsmanship, and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine project requirements
- Construct and install wall frames, floors, roofs, and other structural components using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment
- Perform concrete forming, finishing, and related tasks as needed for various projects
- Cut and install rebar as per drawing requirements
- Operate heavy equipment safely for tasks such as lifting and positioning large materials
- Install framing components and perform woodworking tasks with precision
- Assist with concrete finishing and welding tasks when required
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and building codes
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience in carpentry, framing, or related construction roles
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation
- Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing techniques, and restoration processes is a plus
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or in confined spaces
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid certification or experience in concrete forming or welding is desirable
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions
- Commitment to safety standards and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
