Sewer / Upholsterer (Marine Canvas) - Full Time
Canadian Yacht Tops (CYT North) has been a trusted leader in custom marine canvas and upholstery since 1984. Located in Lefroy, on the same property as Lefroy Harbour Resorts, just 20 minutes south of Barrie, we specialize in custom boat tops, enclosures, upholstery, flooring, tonneau covers, repairs, and marine accessories.
We're looking for motivated, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in quality workmanship and enjoy working in a hands-on, team-focused environment.
Whether you're an experienced upholsterer, industrial sewer, or have strong sewing skills from another industry, we'd like to hear from you. We provide training on marine-specific materials and fabrication techniques.
Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machines
- Fabricate custom boat tops, enclosures, and marine canvas products
- Reupholster boat seating, cushions, and personal watercraft seats
- Sew marine accessory bags and covers
- Repair vinyl, marine windows, and screens
- Ensure all work meets our high standards of craftsmanship and quality
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Qualifications
Required:
- Sewing experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable with a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation to work
Assets (not required):
- Marine canvas experience
- Upholstery experience
- Experience with vinyl, foam, or industrial sewing
- Patterning or fabrication experience

Compensation:
$18.00–$23.00 per hour, based on experience. Full-time. Monday to Friday.
Work Location - Lefroy, ON. We are located on the same property as Lefroy Harbour Resorts.
Approximately 20-25 minutes south of Barrie.
