About Modern Automotive
Modern Automotive is a growing, fast-paced auto repair shop located in Vaughan, Ontario. We specialize in automotive diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance. Our fully equipped shop is staffed by a team of skilled professionals who take pride in delivering top-quality automotive service.
We’re currently hiring for two positions:
- Licensed Automotive Service Technician (310S)
- 3rd Year Automotive Apprentice Mechanic

Responsibilities:
- Perform automotive repairs and diagnostic procedures.
- Conduct vehicle inspections, pre- and post-repair test drives.
- Complete routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake services, and tire installations.
- Disassemble engines and vehicle components for inspection or repair.
- Use automotive scan tools and diagnostic equipment to identify issues.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
- Receive and inspect parts deliveries for accuracy.
- Work under supervision (for apprentices) or independently (for licensed techs).
Qualifications: For Licensed Technician:
- 310S Automotive Service Technician Certification (preferred).
- 2+ years of experience as a licensed technician.
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
For Apprentice Mechanic:
- Registered as a 3rd Year Automotive Apprentice in Ontario.
- Minimum of 2 years of shop experience.
- Eagerness to learn and improve hands-on skills.
General Requirements:
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s License with clean driving record.
- Must live in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area).
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player.
