Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages
- Upsell menu items to increase sales while providing recommendations based on guest preferences
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained in all aspects of food handling and serving
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth operations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in accordance with sanitation guidelines
- Provide guest services that foster a positive dining experience, including addressing special requests or concerns
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and billing accuracy
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Kitchen experience or familiarity with food preparation is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Hospitality mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction and upselling techniques
