Senior Manager
This is a full-time position. The Senior Manager will be physically located in Edmonton and will lead a team of remote accounting professionals, oversee full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of clients, and serve as a key point of contact for client relationships.
What You’ll Do
- Lead a team of accounting professionals working remotely, while remaining hands-on and performing work directly as required.
- Oversee all aspects of full-cycle accounting, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and processing.
- Develop and implement effective accounting policies and procedures.
- Manage client relationships, identifying additional client needs and bringing C2H Solutions’ full suite of skills and services to clients.
- Collaborate with clients to provide tailored financial insights and solutions.
- Set up and maintain new client files in QuickBooks Online (QBO), including chart of accounts, opening balances, and integrations.
What We’re Looking For
- MANDATORY - Must be physically located in Edmonton, Alberta. (Open to considering an individual located in Calgary if they have the right credentials.)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in full-cycle accounting (receivables, payables, payroll, general ledger, month-end reporting), preferably in a managerial or industry role.
- Significant hands-on bookkeeping experience, with the ability to both lead a team and perform full-cycle accounting work directly when needed.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is mandatory, including the ability to set up new client files from scratch.
- Ability to manage a portfolio of varied clients simultaneously.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
- Proficiency in other accounting software (e.g., Sage 50) and strong Excel skills. Familiarity with Plooto and Microsoft 365 (SharePoint/Teams) is an asset.
- Comfortable working with AI tools and genuinely open to learning how to apply them in accounting workflows.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-centric mindset.
- A resourceful problem-solver who can identify issues and find practical solutions independently.
- Willingness to travel to various client sites around Alberta as required.
Pay: $100,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
