Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Fundraiser (aged 15-30 years old)* for a summer position as part of the Canada Summer Jobs Grant. This 8 week (35 hours/wk) position will support our organization’s outreach and fundraising efforts. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience in nonprofit fundraising, community engagement, and donor relations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a difference and eager to develop valuable skills in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning fundraising campaigns and events during the summer season
- Conduct research on potential donors, sponsors, and community partners to expand outreach efforts
- Manage and update donor databases
- Engage with community members through outreach activities
- Support marketing initiatives by creating promotional materials and social media content to raise awareness about fundraising campaigns
- Provide excellent customer service to donors, volunteers, and community members, ensuring positive interactions
- Track and report on fundraising progress, donor engagement, and campaign effectiveness
Skills
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences
- Ability to conduct research efficiently to identify potential donors and funding opportunities
- Familiarity with social media platforms is a must
- Organized, proactive, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Passionate about community service and making a positive impact through fundraising efforts
Canada Summer Jobs is open to youth aged 15 to 30.
Pay: From $18.25 per hour
