Overview
We’re looking for motivated Journeyman and Apprentice Electricians to join our growing team in a field‑focused role supporting installation, integration, and commissioning activities. In this position, you’ll work both independently and as part of a team to install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems at active project sites.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in dynamic field environments, adapting to project demands, and contributing directly to bringing critical power systems online.
What Do Journeyman & Apprentice Electricians Do?
Our electricians play a key role in turning engineered designs into fully functional systems in the field. In this role, you will:
- Install, terminate, and test electrical systems, equipment, and devices in accordance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and panel schedules to execute work efficiently and accurately on-site
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during installation, integration, and commissioning phases
- Support field commissioning and startup activities by identifying and correcting deficiencies
- Maintain a high standard of safety by following company procedures, completing Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs), and adhering to all site safety requirements
- Work collaboratively with foremen, project managers, and other trades on active job sites to maintain schedule, productivity, and quality
- Adapt to changing field conditions while maintaining workmanship standards and efficiency
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and report any discrepancies or non‑conformances
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
- Follow all technical, quality, and safety instructions from supervisors and project leadership
What You Bring
Journeyman Electricians
- Valid Journeyman Electrician certification
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts
- Proven experience installing, terminating, and troubleshooting electrical systems in field environments
- Solid understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safe work practices
- Experience with industrial or infrastructure projects is an asset
- Ability to work independently, mentor apprentices, and adapt to site conditions
Apprentice Electricians
- Registered Electrical Apprentice (any year)
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, tools, and safe work practices
- Willingness to learn in a fast‑paced field environment
- Ability to read and interpret drawings (or eagerness to develop this skill)
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety
- Team‑oriented mindset and adaptability on active job sites
