Position: Manufacturing Process Analyst
Job Overview:
Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, of Fresh Food Manufacturing, the Manufacturing Process Analyst is responsible for data collection, analytics, and providing data-driven recommendations for production process improvement initiatives. New product launch support, from receipt of business to implementation into production. Article costing and kit accuracy monitored and maintained weekly. A hands-on role responsible for supporting process improvement initiatives, with production observations, data collection and analysis, creating positive impacts to the organization, processes adherence and improved process performance. This role will complete projects as required and be expected to quickly respond and resolve relevant operational issues as they occur. Responsibility is governed by company objectives and policies. The Process Engineering Manager will provide guidance on special issues.
- Ensure KPIs are reviewed on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis and perform control and quality analysis on any behaviors / processes that could impact on Central Production.

Gain expertise in systematic processes, ensuring that processes are adhered to across all departments

Measurement of process alignment, recipe integrity, and accuracy while providing feedback to the operations teams.

Conduct observations and collect data for critical production areas to support process engineering projects.
- Coordinate process reviews and random audits of processes, building strategies ensuring compliance and consistency.
- Support 5S projects to organize and improve efficiency of production spaces.

Conduct analytics to identify root causes of inventory deviation via cause-and-effect analysis.

Lead cost management of the facility’s finished goods.
- Work on numerous problems and issues that are undefined and difficult to ascertain.

Drive requirement-gathering efforts and provide input to new process improvement initiatives or processes.

Support development and alignment on new or updated SOPs.
- Support training cross-functional teams on SOPs and advocate for the importance of process adherence.

Provide oversight to the operational support activities daily.

Quickly respond and resolve relevant operational issues as they occur.
Accountabilities:
Production Administration

Support development of production SOPs and suggest methods to optimize production and ensure the highest product quality

Support the training for and implementation of new processes and enhanced production methods

Lead cost management of the facility finished goods.

Quickly respond and resolve relevant operational issues as they occur.
Process Optimization

Create plans and schedules in Manufacturing to support of new launches, operations and improvement projects.

Progress tracking and completion of optimization projects, update plans and schedules as required.

Observe processes, collect and analyse data, and make recommendations for improvement initiatives.

Lead and participate in process improvement, cost reduction, and continuous improvement projects.

Support the production team and resolve any issue that may arise in operational execution.

Maintain constant and clear communication with the teams and departments.

Track performance and quality metrics and act proactively to resolve any potential issues.
- Recommend and implement strategies to eliminate wastes.
Quality

Measure, track, and manage process deviations.

Support coaching and follow-up programs, drive operational excellence, and leading industry benchmarks.
Reporting and Administration
Responsible for verbal and written reports and documentation including:

Operations benchmarking.

Provide reporting and documentation to the management team on a weekly basis, or as needed.

Establish, distribute, and manage weekly and monthly continuous improvement plans and schedules with the department.

Provide regular updates during department meetings.

Ensures all products are handled, processed, and packaged in compliance with strict food safety standards, protecting consumer health and maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Support efforts in preventing contamination and upholding the integrity, quality, and reputation of the organization’s food products to reduce product recalls, regulatory penalties, and serious health risks for consumers.
Knowledge, Skills & Credentials:

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Process Engineering or related field from an accredited University or minimum 2 years experience in a related role.

Previous experience in a manufacturing or food production environment ideal.
-
Experience with MOST time system, process flow studies, heatmaps an asset.
- Experience with data analytics on physical environment and with production factors an asset.

Strong analytical abilities, including proficient mathematical and data analysis skills.
-
Able to swiftly pick up new software skills and data analysis tools.
-
Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and techniques.

Strong computer and Analytical skills, proficient in the use of MS Office Suite of products including Word, Excel, Access, Visio, and PowerPoint.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a standard food production environment, and desk-work with participation in meetings at the office.

Occasional travel to various stores, WHS may be required.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts including - evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
