Event Cook (Part-Time Weekend Position)

Bellamere Winery & Event Centre is seeking an experienced Event Cook to join our culinary team on a very part-time basis, beginning in mid-July.
This position is ideal for:
- A chef or cook currently employed and looking to supplement their income.
- A semi-retired culinary professional who enjoys staying active and connected to the industry.
- Someone who appreciates working in a professional kitchen without the demands of a full-time schedule.
With approximately 20 hours per month, this role offers flexibility while allowing you to continue doing what you enjoy.
About the Role
As an Event Cook, you will play an important role in creating exceptional dining experiences for weddings and special events. Working alongside our culinary team, you will prepare and present quality menu items while maintaining Bellamere's high standards of food quality, presentation, and hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to Bellamere's recipes and quality standards.
- Assist with food preparation and plating for weddings and special events.
- Ensure food is prepared safely, efficiently, and consistently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
- Work collaboratively with the culinary and event teams to ensure smooth service.
- Follow all food safety and workplace health and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, banquet, catering, or hospitality environment.
- Passion for preparing quality food.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to work as part of a team.
- Reliable, dependable, and professional.
Schedule
- Approximately 20 hours per month
- Weekend shifts only
- Position begins mid-July
- Hours will vary based on scheduled weddings and events
Transportation
As Bellamere is located outside of the city bus route and shifts may extend into the evening, applicants must have reliable transportation to and from work.
