We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting freight to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the integrity of cargo. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight across designated routes
- This role involves driving along designated, pre-planned routes, while also adapting to different routes as needed to support daily operations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transit
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and cargo status
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience in freight transportation and commercial driving preferred
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various conditions
- Prior experience with automotive repair or troubleshooting is advantageous
- Physical ability to load, unload, and handle freight as required
