Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter/Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a variety of carpentry and finishing tasks that bring architectural visions to life. Your expertise will ensure high-quality craftsmanship across diverse projects, including residential, commercial, and restoration sites. Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide construction and finishing work.
- Construct, install, repair, and finish structures such as walls, ceilings, cabinetry, siding, roofing, and flooring using hand tools and power tools.
- Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, tile laying, and siding installation to meet project specifications.
- Execute restoration projects by repairing or refurbishing existing structures with precision craftsmanship.
- Install cabinetry, countertops, plumbing fixtures, electrical components, and HVAC systems as required.
- Apply construction painting techniques including priming, sanding, and finishing for aesthetic appeal and protection.
- Conduct heavy lifting safely during material handling; operate CNC machinery when necessary for manufacturing or custom projects.
- Measure materials accurately using schematics and blueprints; estimate project costs and timeframes when needed.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes; maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven construction experience with a strong background in carpentry and woodworking.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding equipment, and heavy machinery.
- Knowledge of concrete forming, masonry techniques including rebar installation and tile laying.
- Experience with cabinetry installation, flooring installation, roofing, siding, caulking, and electrical or plumbing basics is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; familiarity with CNC machinery or manufacturing processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Valid construction licensing or certifications preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training provided for the right candidate.
