Industrial Electrician
Shift: Straight Night Shift
Pay: $37.55 per hour + Shift Premium

Responsibilities:
- Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of electrical systems, including PLCs, motors, drives, sensors, and control panels.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify electrical issues and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Install, modify, and upgrade electrical systems and wiring according to production requirements.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Work with automation and control systems, including PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with provincial, and national electrical codes, as well as company policies.
- Collaborate with production, and engineering teams to improve machine reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns in a timely manner to minimize production disruptions.
Requirements:
- Licensed Industrial Electrician
- Experience with automotive stamping or blanking presses is an asset.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive or steel processing industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, automation, PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or equivalent), VFDs, and robotics.
- Experience working with high-voltage and low-voltage systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems as they relate to electrical controls.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with safety protocols, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is an asset.
