We are currently looking for a Plumbing Assembler to assist in the build and assembly of the pumps on fire trucks.
Job Responsibilities:
- Install heat exchanger not already installed with value
- Install master drain, primer control, pump shift, discharges, R&L rear and front bumper; bleeder and auto drains
- Weld pipes as needed to complete installation
- Connect lines to gauge panel
- Install tank level sight tube
- Effective use of conventional and precision measuring instruments
- Perform inspection to assure quality welds
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Assist team members as needed and other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
- Vocational training or equivalent experience in MIG welding
- Demonstrated pipefitting knowledge and skills
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools
- Ability to use MIG welder and plasma cutter on stainless steel
- Ability to read and use a tape measure to precise measurements
- Basic math skills; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Read and work from blueprints and build specifications
- Ability to retain and apply instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multi-task with effective time management skills
- Be flexible, reliable, and punctual
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 7:00am – 4:00pm
