MASITA K-Food, located at the vibrant Halifax Waterfront, is looking for energetic and fast-paced Line Cooks to join our team for the busiest summer season.
At MASITA, we focus on efficiency and speed. This role is not about creating new recipes or developing flavors, but rather about executing our established menu quickly and precisely according to our system. If you can follow a manual step-by-step and keep up with a fast-moving environment, this is the perfect summer job for you!
Key Responsibilities
- High-Speed Execution: Prepare and finish orders rapidly as they come in, ensuring quick service for our waterfront customers.
- Station Management: Safely and efficiently operate kitchen equipment, specifically commercial fryers and grills/stoves.
- Continuous Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times, even during peak, high-volume hours.
- Inventory & Food Safety: Manage ingredients strictly following the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method and ensure proper stock rotation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with operating commercial fryers and high-heat cooking equipment.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on hygiene and cleanliness.
- Food Safety Certification is highly preferred.
