Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop the service department team, including Service Advisors, Technicians, Service attendants, detailers and support staff.
- Conduct monthly one-on-one performance and development meetings with every member of the service department to provide coaching, feedback, and goal setting.
- Oversee daily service operations, ensuring efficient workflow, productivity, and quality of work.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience by promptly and professionally resolving customer concerns.
- Monitor and improve departmental performance through key performance indicators (KPIs), CSI, productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
- Prepare and present a comprehensive monthly reporting package, including operational results, financial performance, KPIs, staffing metrics, and action plans.
- Develop and execute strategies to improve revenue, gross profit, labour sales, and overall departmental performance.
- Ensure compliance with Jaguar Land Rover standards, dealership policies, safety regulations, and manufacturer requirements.
- Maintain strong communication and collaboration with Sales, Parts, and Executive Management to deliver a seamless customer experience.
- Recruit, train, coach, and retain top talent while fostering a positive, accountable, and performance-driven culture.
- Manage departmental expenses, inventory, and operational resources effectively.
- Champion continuous process improvement and operational excellence throughout the department.
Qualifications
- Proven success as a Service Manager within a premium or high-volume automotive dealership.
- Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
- Exceptional customer service and conflict resolution abilities.
- Strong understanding of dealership financials, fixed operations KPIs, and business planning.
- Experience preparing management reports and analyzing operational performance.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with dealership management systems and manufacturer reporting tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
