Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, skilled Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience working as a barista, knows how to make latte art, has excellent knowledge of espresso based coffee drinks and provides exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks following company recipes
- Operate espresso machines and other coffee-making equipment
- Take customer orders and handle cash transactions
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Provide excellent customer service, including answering customer questions and resolving complaints
- Upsell products and promote specials to customers
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- Familiarity with POS systems for order processing
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
