Registered Pharmacist
Full-Time Permanent
Salary: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour (negotiable as per experience)
Raswon International Inc. in Kingston, Ontario, is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team. This is a full-time permanent position. Experience in non-sterile compounding area would be considered as an additional qualification and helpful.
May qualify for a signing bonus.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispensing & Verification — Perform accurate prescription assessment, clinical checks, therapeutic appropriateness review, and final product verification.
- Patient Counselling — Provide counselling on medications, side effects, adherence, and disease management.
- Clinical Services along with administrative Tasks — Conduct Meds Checks, medication reviews, immunizations, smoking cessation consultations, and Minor Ailment Assessments and Prescribing as appropriate. In the absence of a pharmacy manger, manage overall staff and making sure of smooth pharmacy operations.
- Collaboration & Communication — Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and resolve drug‑therapy problems.
- Regulatory Compliance — Ensure adherence to OCP standards, NAPRA guidelines, controlled substances regulations, and privacy legislation.
- Operational Support — Oversee workflow, support pharmacy assistants/technicians, manage inventory, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Quality & Safety — Identify and document medication incidents, perform interventions, and participate in continuous quality improvement.
- Professional Development — Maintain continuing education requirements and stay current with clinical guidelines and pharmacy practice changes.
Requirements
- No Minimum experience of working as a pharmacist is required.
- Experience of working in pharmacy and pharmacy software systems, Microsoft Word/Excel. is esential.
- Strong pharmaceutical knowledge, accuracy under pressure.
- Organizational skills, manual dexterity.
Employment Terms
- 35 hours/week (days; occasional evenings/weekends).
- Statutory holidays per Ontario ESA.
- May work as a Service Providing contractor
