FHO ADMINISTRATIVE SITE LEAD
The South Bruce Peninsula Family Health Organization provides comprehensive, quality team-based primary care for the residents of South Bruce Peninsula & Georgian Bluffs. Our team of dedicated health care providers support over 8,000 patients in our communities.
Through the provincial primary care expansion plan, the SBP FHO has a new and exciting leadership opportunity for a motivated healthcare candidate. This is a two year full time contract position, based out of the SBP FHO clinic site in South Bruce Peninsula.
Supported by the Executive Director of the Peninsula FHT, the Site Lead works collaboratively to oversee the daily clinic operations of the clinic to promote effective administrative and clinical support and maximize patient access and flow.
Operational Duties:
· Work in close consultation with all members of the FHO team to provide optimal patient care, resolve operational problems & develop operational policies and procedures;
· Oversee and focus the optimization of physician access, optimization of physician RAs and physician roster management;
· Transitional support in expansion of interdisciplinary care;
· Coordination of physician locum opportunities;
· Develop and manage project & budget plan for move to new clinic site
Human Resource Duties:
· Assist with human resources responsibilities, including recruitment, performance management, and staff development;
· Assist with payroll, budgeting, HR, Occupational Health and statutory reporting.
QI duties:
· Engage in quality improvement activities to improve access efficiencies and patient satisfaction;
· Oversee EMR data management in partnership with external collaborators.
IT resource duties:
· Oversee software and technical support as required to optimize clinic operations;
· Work closely with external IT partners to maintain optimal clinical interfaces and minimize risk;
· Assist with the expansion and adoption of E-forms for EMR usage.
Financial Stewardship & Risk Management:
- Assist with bookkeeping, financial planning, budgeting, transactional funds release and monthly reporting;
- Work with the Executive Director on monthly financial reporting and fund disbursements;
Collaborative Duties:
· Other duties as assigned by the FHO Lead Physician and/or PFHT Executive Director.
· University degree in health science program, health care administration or combination education and experience.
· 3-5 years’ experience in supervisory or management role, preferably in a health care environment. Experience in the field of primary or community health care an asset.
· Demonstrated competency in digital health and/or information technology literacy related to IT infrastructure, software and data.
· Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
· Advanced MS Office skills - Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point. TELUS EMR aptitude an asset.
· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and respond to changing needs with minimal supervision.
