Saddletown Radiology has an open opportunity for a Sonographer. Full-time, part-time, Casual (with flexibility for 1-2 Saturday shifts per month)
Sonographers are responsible for providing outstanding care to all patients in a respectful, compassionate, and welcoming manner. In this role, you will independently conduct diagnostic sonography exams and communicate the results to the Radiologists. The ideal candidate will always uphold the highest standards of medical ethics and be committed to continuously enhancing their expertise and knowledge in the field.
QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS
- Graduate of Diagnostic Medical Sonography from an accredited ultrasound program recognized by Sonography Canada.
- Current credentialed member of Sonography Canada with liability insurance.
- Possesses strong time management and critical thinking abilities.
- General ultrasound experience is a requirement.
- Breast sonography is an asset.
- MSK ultrasound experience is considered a strong asset.
Additional Qualifications:
· Good interpersonal/communication skills.
· Ability to cooperate, work independently, and promote good teamwork.
· Perception, initiative, good judgment, and concern for detail and accuracy.
· Proficiency in English is required. All work is done in English.
· Ability to demonstrate tact and courtesy in dealing with patients, staff, and physicians.
· Ability to work under pressure and in emergencies. Practices effective infection control, and safety.
COMPENSATION
- Hourly pay rate for this position will be between $50 to $60 hourly depending on education and experience.
