The Firm – Alex Pizzimenti CPA Professional Corporation is a professional services firm providing assurance, accounting, tax compliance, tax consulting, and business advisory services to private, owner-manager run corporations and their shareholders in a wide variety of industries.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of assurance and compilation engagements and financial statements
- Tax compliance preparation for corporations (T2), partnerships (T5013), trusts (T3), and individuals (T1)
- Opportunity to gain exposure to complex tax planning and high-level consulting work usually reserved for larger firms, including estate freezes, corporate reorganizations, business sales, and post-mortem pipeline planning
- GST/ HST compliance preparation
- Facilitate and prepare replies to CRA income tax and GST/HST audits
- Preparation of various T-Slips
- Facilitate client accounting system transitions
- Providing bookkeeping services to clients, particularly using QuickBooks Online
- Work directly with clients
- Manage engagement timelines and client deliverables
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Economics, or Finance
- 2 - 4+ years experience in accounting (public or private)
- CPA or pursuing your CPA
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in QuickBooks Online, CaseWare, and Taxprep are a strong asset
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Comfortable working independently
