Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to lead our retail team and oversee daily store operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, retail management expertise, and excellent communication abilities. Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff, including recruiting, training, and developing team members to ensure excellent customer service and operational efficiency
- Manage daily store operations, including merchandising, inventory control, pricing strategies, and POS system management
- Oversee sales management activities to meet or exceed sales targets through effective team leadership and marketing initiatives
- Handle cash handling procedures, bookkeeping, and payroll processing with accuracy and integrity
- Implement pricing strategies and promotional campaigns to maximize profitability
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and customer service standards
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide coaching, and foster a positive work environment
- Manage purchasing decisions and vendor relationships to maintain optimal stock levels
- Utilize organizational skills to coordinate store activities, manage budgets, and oversee administrative tasks such as scheduling and reporting
- Maintain excellent communication with staff, customers, and corporate headquarters to ensure smooth store operations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales, store management, or sales management with supervising responsibilities
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising, pricing, and inventory control
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and basic math skills
- Effective communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Experience in recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff
- Knowledge of marketing strategies to promote store products and increase sales
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of customer service
- Administrative experience including budgeting, payroll processing, and recordkeeping is preferred
- Strong negotiation skills for vendor relations and purchasing decisions
- Professional appearance with good phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Experience in Shopify
