Sales and Rental Account Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Sales and Rental Account Manger to join our growing team. This is a key revenue-generating role for a driven professional who excels at building long-term relationships with contractors, construction companies, and project managers across the region.
You will be responsible for renting and selling our extensive fleet of new and late-model construction equipment, including excavators, loaders, arial lifts, telehandlers, compactors, heating, HVAC, Gensets, Pumps and more. Tool Shed also offer a full selection of high quality contractor supplies, along with extensive safety and PPE offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect, develop, and close new rental and sales opportunities with general contractors, earthmoving companies, road builders, and specialty trades.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing key accounts while consistently adding new high-value clients.
- Demonstrate deep product knowledge of equipment – including the latest models, technology, features, specifications, and applications.
- Prepare competitive rental quotes, proposals, and negotiated agreements.
- Conduct site visits, job site assessments, and equipment demonstrations.
- Work closely with our operations, service, and fleet teams to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.
- Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly rental revenue and sales targets.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and new equipment advancements.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5–7+ years of proven experience in construction equipment rental sales.
- Strong background working with modern equipment – ability to confidently discuss the latest models, telematics, emissions standards, fuel efficiency, and productivity features.
- Established network of contacts in the construction industry across Atlantic Canada is a significant asset.
- Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, with a proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving abstract.
- Ability to travel within the Atlantic region as needed.
