We are seeking a motivated and dependable Interlock & Excavation Labourer / Operator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will assist with the installation of interlock pavers, retaining walls, and other hardscape features while supporting excavation and site preparation activities. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship and safety. Duties & Responsibilities Assist with site layout, grading, and preparation for interlock and landscaping projects. Excavate, backfill, and compact materials according to project specifications. Install interlock pavers, natural stone, retaining walls, steps, and related hardscape features. Operate and maintain construction equipment, including skid steers, mini excavators, plate compactors, and power tools. Load, unload, and transport construction materials and equipment. Perform site cleanup and maintain a safe and organized work environment. Read and follow project plans, measurements, and grade requirements. Work collaboratively with crew members to complete projects efficiently and to a high standard. Follow all company safety procedures and provincial regulations. Report equipment issues, site hazards, or project concerns to supervisors. Requirements & Qualifications Previous experience in interlock, landscaping, excavation, or construction is preferred. Experience operating skid steers, mini excavators, or other heavy equipment is an asset. Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions. Strong understanding of construction safety practices. Strong work ethic, punctuality, and positive attitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors.
