Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Supervisor/Duty Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing food safety standards, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations to provide an outstanding dining experience for guests.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant activities, including food preparation, serving, and customer interactions
- Oversee food handling, safety protocols, and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Manage team members through interviewing, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Handle cash transactions and POS operations
- Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness are maintained throughout the restaurant
- Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with kitchen staff for timely food preparation and replenishment
- Enforce safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment for all staff and guests
- Lead by example in hospitality service, demonstrating professionalism and leadership at all times
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a food service or restaurant setting
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Experience in restaurant management, team management, and customer service excellence
- Background in hospitality or hotel industry is advantageous
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, food handling procedures, and the food industry standards
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams effectively
- Previous experience in interviewing potential staff members is preferred
- Barista experience or bar management background is a plus but not required
