Your Opportunity!
Knollcrest Lodge is recruiting for Part-Time Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join our team in Milverton. In this role, you will report to the Director of Resident Care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the nursing process by observing and reporting changes in the residents’ physical and emotional conditions
- Deliver personal care to promote comfort and safety for the resident during activities of daily living in accordance with the standard of resident care
- Understand the needs of residents through Resident Care Plans/Kardex, and providing the prescribed bedside personal care needed
- Follow health and safety protocols and maintain a safe environment
Job Requirements:
- Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate or current Nursing Student (RPN, RN)
- Two-Step TB test results with a satisfactory result (completed within the last 12 months)
- Vulnerable Sector Check with a satisfactory result (completed within the last 6 months)
- Experience working in health care or long term care setting is considered an asset
- Ability to read and write in English, and understand verbal and written instructions in English
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with other colleagues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
