Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Roofer/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with roofing projects and general labor tasks on various residential sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the physical ability to handle demanding tasks. Prior construction experience and familiarity with hand tools are highly valued. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in roofing, and construction while contributing to quality projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems on residential buildings
- Use hand tools such as roofing nailer, hammers, drills, and saws to perform roofing tasks accurately and safely
- Perform heavy lifting of materials, equipment, and supplies required for roofing projects
- Read project plans to ensure proper execution of work
- Conduct caulking and sealing to ensure weatherproofing of roofs and related structures
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment
- Assist with general construction duties including site cleanup, material handling, and preparation of work areas
Requirements
- Prior experience with construction or handyman work is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of hand tools, carpentry, caulking, and general construction practices is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
- Strong attention to safety procedures and protocols on job sites
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
- valid driver’s license is advantageous but not required
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and standing for extended periods
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
