Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Physiotherapy Assistant to join our healthcare team. This vital role supports licensed physiotherapists in delivering high-quality patient care within a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in patient care, medical terminology, and Jane app.This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about helping patients recover and improve their mobility and overall well-being and get experience in Canadian heath care system.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physiotherapists with patient assessments and treatment
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions
- Support patients during exercises and therapeutic activities, ensuring proper technique and safety
- Monitor patient progress and report observations to the physiotherapy team
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatment notes
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of therapy spaces and equipment
- Provide compassionate patient care, addressing concerns and answering questions as appropriate
- Adhere to all hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control procedures
Skills
- Prior experience in a hospital ,private clinic or acute care setting needed
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy and patient care
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate approach with a focus on patient comfort and safety
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain confidentiality
- Basic physical stamina to assist patients with mobility exercises and support during therapy sessions
Pay: $17.85-$22.00 per hour
