Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete finishing and construction, demonstrating proficiency in various techniques and tools necessary for high-quality concrete work. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively on construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials and direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade
- Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement
- Operate power vibrators to compact concrete
- Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification
- Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
- Install anchor bolts, steel plates, and other fixtures
- Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
- Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces
- Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures
- Must participate and adhere to all safety rules and procedures
Requirements
- Basic English
- 3 years of related experience
- Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads (Up to 23 kg/50 lbs), Bending, crouching, kneeling, Standing for extended periods, Attention to detail
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 8 months
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
