Job Overview
Sushi Mura River District is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated servers to join our dynamic team. As a server, you will be the face of our restaurant, providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a memorable dining experience. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; we value hospitality skills and a positive attitude. All positions are paid, including internships, with opportunities for growth within our team.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive table service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages
- Handle cash and process payments accurately through cashiering systems
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, specials, and food safety standards
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
- Assist in food preparation when necessary and support kitchen staff as needed
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Provide guest services that promote a welcoming environment and encourage repeat visits
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred; familiarity with restaurant operations is advantageous
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS and basic math skills for cashiering and billing tasks
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Ability to handle food safely and maintain sanitation standards at all times
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Basic food handling and safety knowledge; experience in food preparation or kitchen work is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
