We are looking for a full-time, diligent, conscientious, and highly detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes ownership of their work, exercises sound judgment, and is motivated to learn and grow within our fast-paced company. The individual should have a minimum of two years of accounting and bookkeeping experience, knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and practices, and be a team player with a positive “can-do” attitude.

- Mortgage fundings and payouts
- Organizing documents, filing, and maintaining efficient systems
- Preparing correspondence and communicating with clients and stakeholders
- Thoroughly reviewing internal and external correspondence and supporting information before proceeding with related tasks
- Other duties as required
Qualifications, Education and Experience:
Preferred:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Previous experience in banking, cash management, or a related financial-services environment
Required:
- Post-secondary accounting education
- Minimum of two years of general accounting and bookkeeping experience
- Knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and practices
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership of work
- Ability to thoroughly review and verify one's own work for accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness before submission
- Strong critical-thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to recognize relationships between information, identify inconsistencies, and apply knowledge from previous tasks and situations to new circumstances
- Ability to recognize when information, calculations, or results appear unusual or inconsistent and independently investigate or seek clarification before proceeding
- Ability to follow established procedures and written instructions accurately and consistently
- Ability to retain training and instructions and apply them appropriately to subsequent tasks without repeated direction
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to carefully review correspondence and supporting information before taking action
- Ability to solve problems independently while recognizing when clarification or escalation is required
- Excellent time-management and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively in a demanding environment without compromising accuracy
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with stakeholders and colleagues
- Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly, take effective notes, and adapt to new responsibilities
