Air Notions Inc. is a custom HVAC equipment manufacturer based in Dundas, Ontario, specializing in custom air handling units (AHUs) and make-up air units (MUAs) for commercial and industrial applications across Canada and the United States.
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Assembler to join our production team.
Position Overview
The Electrical Assembler is responsible for installing, routing, terminating, and testing electrical wiring and control components within custom HVAC equipment. This role involves working with electrical schematics, control panels, motors, sensors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and other electrical components to ensure safe, reliable, and high-quality equipment assembly.
Responsibilities
- Install and route electrical wiring within custom HVAC equipment
- Mount and wire electrical components including disconnects, contactors, relays, transformers, terminal blocks, sensors, switches, and control panels
- Install and connect motors, VFDs, actuators, and other electrical devices
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and production drawings
- Perform wire termination, labeling, and cable management to company standards
- Verify wiring accuracy through continuity checks and basic electrical testing
- Troubleshoot and correct wiring issues during assembly and testing
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and applicable safety requirements
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Collaborate with production, testing, and engineering teams during equipment assembly
Qualifications
- Experience with industrial control wiring, electrical assembly, panel wiring, or machine wiring
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Experience using electrical hand tools and testing equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workmanship quality
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Electrical trade, apprenticeship, electromechanical, or industrial maintenance experience considered an asset
- Experience with HVAC equipment, motors, VFDs, and control systems considered an asset
