Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated Farm/Ranch Hand for seasonal contract work. You will assist with a wide range of daily farm and ranch operations. The terrain is rough, so experience riding your own horse or operating an ATV is important for moving through the land safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
- Handling and caring for livestock (cattle)
- Fencing and pasture management - this is key, as there will be a lot of fencing to build during the summer
- Feeding, moving, and checking on cattle
- Operating and maintaining farm equipment and vehicles
- General farm labor including cleaning, repairs, and maintenance
- Assisting with haying and other seasonal tasks
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of farm/ranch experience is required
- Ability to work independently is a must – there will be days where you will be completely on your own and must be able to problem-solve when issues arise
- Must own a horse and have experience riding in rough terrain (
- Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability are essential
- Valid driver’s license is required
- Mechanical aptitude or experience operating equipment is a strong asset

- Living accommodations can be discussed for the right candidate (trailer/RV on site)
- Must be available to work flexible hours including weekends, as needed
