Your New Role...
This role assists the VP, Theatrical Marketing with coordinating and executing various elements of the general publicity and promotional campaigns for all theatrical releases. This includes securing earned coverage and impressions through various media and promotional partnerships that tap into pop culture.
Your Role Accountabilities...
Work with the V.P, Theatrical Marketing to reference global publicity strategies, opportunities and assets to create impactful localized campaigns for the Canadian market
Provide administrative assistance in the execution of all publicity and promotions programs/ events for Canadian campaigns. This includes screenings, junkets, local press tours, stunts, special events and grassroots promotions
Attend weekly calls with the home office publicity, legal, and promotions teams and provide updates and detailed notes for senior management
Act as the day-to-day liaison between WB Canada and the Canadian Publicity and media monitoring agencies
Provide administrative assistance in the execution of larger national brand promotions programs secured through home office
When required, provide on-site assistance in the execution of all publicity and special marketing events for Canadian campaigns. This includes screenings, press tours, festivals and stunts
Ensure press materials/ localized assets are available via the mediapass platform and service localized assets to Canadian press, agencies and partners as requested
Assist in the development of all creative briefs and post campaign reports relating to the publicity events, stunts and promotions for Canadian campaigns
Work with the Canadian Publicity Agency to maintain internal press lists and service general press requests as needed
Process and track invoices for all publicity and promotions programs for Canadian campaigns ensuring budgets are updated in real time
Assist VP, Theatrical Marketing with administrative duties as required
Other miscellaneous administrative duties assigned
Qualifications & Experience...
Undergraduate university degree or diploma in the arts, public relations, digital marketing, social media marketing, communications
Three years of related work experience in entertainment marketing, or public relations / communications fields
Strong interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal)
Understanding of key social media platforms (Meta, X, Tik Tok, Pinterest and Snap)
Understanding of the current Canadian entertainment media landscape (outlets and critics)
Enthusiasm, creativity, strong organizational skills, and detail oriented
Ability to multi-task, highly organized with excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, time sensitive and competitive business environment
Strong computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, Google doc, PowerPoint, Photoshop

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $62,000.00 - $70,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
