Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations while ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, including the ability to handle heavy equipment and freight.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Assist in the operation of forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed.
- Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the delivery vehicle when necessary.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred, with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving or freight transportation is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts, is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform basic automotive repairs.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the day.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Pay: From $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
