Youth Development Worker – Short Version
Summary
Support youth ages 10–17, including those with disabilities, through engaging activities, mentorship, and inclusive programming. Foster personal growth, social skills, and community involvement in a safe, positive environment.
Duties
- Plan activities that support social, emotional, and physical development.
- Provide mentorship with compassion, including for youth with disabilities.
- Create inclusive programs for diverse needs and backgrounds.
- Collaborate with families and community partners.
- Monitor progress and encourage confidence and independence.
- Maintain a safe environment.
- Document attendance and program activities.
Experience
- Experience with youth in educational, recreational, or community settings.
- Experience with disabilities is an asset.
- Strong academic skills in Math and Physics to support learning.
- Excellent communication, patience, empathy, and relationship‑building.
Requirements
- Vulnerable sector & police check.
- First aid certification or available to complete during employment term
- Professional reference.
Pay: $15.00 per hour
