Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring access points, conducting surveillance, and maintaining a secure environment for employees, visitors, and property. This role is vital in preventing loss, deterring unauthorized activities, and responding promptly to security incidents. Prior experience in law enforcement or security operations is a plus, along with familiarity with surveillance systems such as CCTV.
Duties
- Monitor and control access to the facility by checking credentials and maintaining visitor logs
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security breaches or safety hazards
- Utilize CCTV systems to observe and record activities within the property
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, following established protocols
- Perform loss prevention activities by observing suspicious behavior and preventing theft or vandalism
- Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
- Enforce company policies and safety regulations to ensure a secure environment
- Assist visitors and staff with inquiries related to security procedures
Skills
- Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail
- Knowledge of surveillance technology, including CCTV operation and monitoring
- Background in law enforcement or security-related training is advantageous
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally
- Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and accurately
- Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and security best practices
- Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond swiftly when required
