Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Certified Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and low-voltage wiring, along with excellent problem-solving skills. Duties
- Install fire alarm systems according to blueprints, schematics, and construction plans
- Perform routine inspections and testing of fire alarm components to ensure proper operation
- Troubleshoot and repair system malfunctions using hand tools, power tools, and electrical knowledge
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, inspections, and repairs
- Collaborate with construction teams during new installations or upgrades
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
- Assist in system commissioning and certification processes
- Provide technical support and training to clients on system operation and maintenance
Qualifications
- Certification as a Fire Alarm Technician or equivalent credential
- Proven experience with blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical systems installation
- Knowledge of construction processes related to fire alarm system deployment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with familiarity of sensors, low-voltage wiring, and power tools
- Experience working with sensors, control panels, and alarm notification devices
- Ability to read electrical diagrams and schematics accurately
- Mechanical knowledge related to system components and troubleshooting techniques
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for installation and repair tasks
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
