Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Framer/Carpenter to join our construction team. This role involves working on various residential and commercial projects, including framing, restoration, siding, and concrete forming. The ideal candidate will have experience with blueprint reading, woodworking, and the operation of power tools and heavy equipment. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute project requirements
- Construct and install framing for walls, floors, roofs, and other structural components using hand tools and power tools
- Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks for foundations, slabs, and other structures
- Install siding, trim, and other exterior or interior finishing elements
- Operate heavy equipment safely for lifting and moving materials around the job site
- Assist with restoration projects by repairing or replacing damaged structures
- Use welding techniques where necessary to join metal components or reinforce structures
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while adhering to safety protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience in carpentry, framing, or related construction fields
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation
- Knowledge of concrete forming and finishing techniques
- Familiarity with siding installation and woodworking skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards and protocols
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Valid <PERSON> (or equivalent) certification preferred but not required; willingness to obtain necessary certifications is a plus
