About Us & Position Overview:
We are a busy seasonal farm offering fresh produce, ice cream, baked goods, and local products. Our environment is fast-paced and friendly, with a well-supported team and dynamic daily tasks. Priorities can shift quickly based on customer flow, weather and product availability, so we value team members who can adapt while still following established procedures.
This role combines customer service, produce handling, and ice cream scooping. You'll support daily operations by keeping displays stocked, maintaining quality standards and ensuring customers have a positive experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly, professional customer service
- Scoop and serve ice cream efficiently and properly follow safety procedures
- Operate the cash register with accuracy
- Restock produce, ice cream supplies and retail items throughout the day
- Preform quality control on produce and displays (Checking freshness, removing damaged items, rotating stock)
- Maintain clean, organized work areas (Counters, freezers, coldrooms, floors)
- Follow established procedures for opening, closing and shift transitions
- Adapt to shifting priorities during busy periods (Bagging, stocking, customer flow support)
Work Conditions:
- Shifts are 8-8.5 hours with an unpaid 30min break
- Takes place indoor and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Lifting, carrying and moving produce boxes/bags up to 50lbs
- Working in a fast-paced environment, especially on warm days and weekends
- Includes periods in cold/freezer environments
- Reliable transportation to and from the stand is required
