Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Painter/Laborer to join our construction and restoration team. This role involves performing residential, commercial, and industrial painting projects, utilizing various hand tools and power tools, and supporting carpentry and rigging tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent time management, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in blueprint reading, schematics, caulking, and other essential trade techniques while contributing to diverse projects that require attention to detail and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and masking as needed
- Apply paint, stain, or coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment on residential, commercial, or industrial sites
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate project execution
- Assist with rigging and setup of scaffolding or lifts for elevated work areas
- Use hand tools and power tools safely for carpentry tasks or minor repairs
- Support restoration projects by performing surface preparation and finishing work
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all safety protocols are followed during operations
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress or concerns
Requirements
- Prior experience in construction painting, restoration, or industrial painting is preferred
- Knowledge of construction techniques including carpentry, rigging, and schematics reading
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively on multiple projects
- Experience with residential and commercial painting projects is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics for precise work execution
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for surface sealing and finishing touches
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, climbing scaffolding or ladders
- Commitment to safety procedures and maintaining a clean work environment

Pay: $24.00-$35.00 per hour
