Tri-Way Food & Gas is a family-owned convenience store and gas station proudly serving the Vernon community for over 20 years. We are committed to providing friendly customer service, quality products, and a clean, welcoming environment for our customers and community. We are looking for a reliable, motivated individual who enjoys working with people and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to:
- Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and accurately process cash, debit, and credit transactions.
- Assist customers with fuel purchases, in-store products, and general inquiries.
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays while ensuring merchandise is organized and well presented.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store, including the checkout area and exterior premises.
- Prepare coffee and other ready-to-serve food and beverage items as required.
- Receive and stock inventory, and report low stock or inventory concerns to management.
- Verify identification when selling age-restricted products in accordance with provincial regulations.
- Follow all company policies, food safety standards, and health and safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with team members and assist with opening, closing, and other daily store operations as needed.
What we are looking for
- Previous experience in retail, convenience store, or customer service is an asset.
- Higher starting wage may be offered based on relevant experience and demonstrated skills.
