Job Summary
Pharmasave Michael Garron Hospital is seeking a friendly, dependable, and service-oriented Part-Time Customer Service Associate to join our pharmacy team.
The Customer Service Associate is often the first point of contact for patients, hospital staff, visitors, and community customers. The successful candidate will provide welcoming and efficient service, process purchases accurately, assist customers with front-shop products, and help maintain a clean, organized, and professional pharmacy environment.
This position is well suited to someone who enjoys helping people, communicates professionally, works well in a busy environment, and understands the importance of patient privacy and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, respectful, and professional service.
- Operate the cash register and self-checkout area accurately and efficiently.
- Process cash, debit, credit, gift card, refund, and exchange transactions according to store procedures.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and direct pharmacy-related questions to the appropriate pharmacy team member.
- Assist customers in locating front-shop, personal care, household, seasonal, and over-the-counter products.
- Refer all medication, treatment, and health-related questions to a pharmacist.
- Maintain patient and customer confidentiality at all times.
- Stock shelves, rotate products, check expiry dates, and ensure merchandise is clearly priced.
- Receive, unpack, organize, and display incoming inventory.
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-presented checkout, retail, waiting, and customer-service areas.
- Monitor inventory levels and inform management when products need to be reordered.
- Assist with promotional displays, signage, product merchandising, and seasonal changes.
- Help customers access products and services in a patient, courteous, and inclusive manner.
- Respond professionally to customer concerns and involve the pharmacist or manager when appropriate.
- Follow all pharmacy policies, workplace safety procedures, infection-control practices, and loss-prevention procedures.
- Work cooperatively with pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, students, and other team members.
- Complete additional customer-service and front-shop duties as assigned.
Pay: From $17.95 per hour
