POSITION SUMMARY:
The Field Services Project Manager is responsible for assisting with the overall Field Service activities of REV. This individual is responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance to all field staff within the Field Service division to promote a high quality, effective, and efficient group. This person is responsible for supervising all technical, operational, and maintenance requirements of the Field Service department.
POSITION DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working with the Field Service Manager on the organizational (resources, tools, personnel) development and performance of the Field Service division of REV. Demonstrating commitment and ensuring the Field Service division can deliver the requirements of the Corporate Strategic Plan, KPIs, and the Project Management team.
- Providing leadership for all technical requirements for field team.
- Managing Schedule-it daily and keeping accurate information within.
- Field Service first point of contact for emergency callouts for manpower, and equipment requirements. (Technical sales reps are to provide technical back-up).
- Primary contact for job scheduling and manpower / equipment utilization.
- Overseeing all field service operations, ensuring that all service jobs are delivered effectively, efficiently, on time, to specification and in a cost-effective manner.
- Ensuring all safety, quality and finance goals of the department are met and communicated.
- Coordinate weekly status meetings with the field staff to ensure they are on track with meeting maintenance and safety related targets and ensuring their accountability for the requirements of their positions. Providing focus and priority for weekly and monthly requirements.
- Assist with managing field crews chargeable time as per job descriptions, assist with managing the field crew’s non-chargeable time and work placements. Ensure reasonable efficiency KPIs within the field service team.
- Working with the sales team on client maintenance and business development.
- Assist with enforcing/writing/updating operations standards, procedures, and workflows, ensuring all safety, quality and cost goals are consistently met.
- Coach, mentor, train, and coordinate Field Service team.
- Maintain the Field Service Technical Training Matrix and certification records.
- Assist with departmental recruitment, retention, and dismissal.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned by your manager to ensure REV’s goals and objectives are met.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, with relevant education/training, or 5+ years’ experience in a technical Field Service role.
- Post-secondary Degree or Diploma from an accredited Canadian institution is an asset.
- Strong understanding of Field Service and industrial electrical service processes with experience managing equipment, schedules, and costs to successfully meet customer expectations and requirements.
- Previous experience managing and scheduling jobs and manpower.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to successfully motivate and develop a team to accomplish departmental and organizational goals.
- Experience developing a workforce structure that identifies role responsibilities and brings groups together, maximizing the flow of resources and communication for increased efficiency.
- Reliable team player with a professional and positive approach.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Excellent safety record / safety conscious with an interest in continued learning of safety precautions and procedures.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / REQUIREMENTS:
- Available for intermittent travel of short duration, occasionally with minimal notice
- Experience working in variable weather conditions
- Flexibility for 24/7 emergency on call rotation and weekend work
- On the job safety training will include: First Aid, WHIMIS, H2S Alive, CSTS, Fall Arrest, Confined Space, Basic Electrical Safety, Arc Flash Awareness.
- Must be able to meet customer site Pre-Access requirements
