About the Role
- Make Sure project schedule is on track working in partnership with the Project Manager
- Carry out project work plans aimed at maintaining projects on track and on budget
- Manage all vital aspects of the construction site
- Maintain a professional, safe and organized site
- Manage all day to day activities
- Manage and schedule sub contractors, suppliers and vendors
- Manage direct employees, including carpenters and labourers
- Manage materials and service purchase orders
- Lead site project meetings and provide direction and guidance when needed
- Maintain daily report and schedule to demonstrate site progress
- Follows O|M systems and procedures, sets a professional leadership example
- Mentor less experienced team members and contribute to the growth and development of the company
About You
- Minimum 5-10 years’ experience as a Superintendent or similar direct supervisory role
- Experience in wood frame and concrete construction
- Experience in mixed use concrete & wood frame projects
- Experience in wood frame townhouse projects with underground parking is an asset
- Combination of work experience and/or certification/training in an industry related trade
- Working knowledge of health and safety programs within the general construction industry
- Solid understanding of current construction practices, working knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications
- Ability to guide safe work practices in a high-pressure environment
- Strong leader, able to communicate clearly and promote teamwork
- Ability to use technology, email and learn software programs as needed
- Desire to continually learn and improve
