The main function of a Developer (Other Specialty) is to design, develop, and implement applications using in-demand languages and technologies to support business requirements. This is a critical role as the organization is building out a new QA automation team to perform test automation for existing and new applications, including web applications and data engineering solutions. The position sits within Global Asset Management Technology, supporting the GAM transformation journey to enhance the QA automation function. Global Asset Management institutional execution is the process by which asset managers carry out large-scale investment transactions on behalf of institutional clients, involving optimizing trade strategies, ensuring best pricing, minimizing market impact, and adhering to regulatory requirements to achieve efficient and secure execution of investment decisions.
- Develop and maintain UI automation frameworks using Playwright for web applications

Create and execute automated tests for Databricks data engineering workflows, including notebooks, ETL pipelines, and data reconciliation

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation

Collaborate with developers and data engineers to define quality standards and resolve defects

Analyze test results, document findings, and provide actionable insights

Ensure comprehensive test coverage for both frontend and backend components

Utilize JavaScript/TypeScript and Python for automation scripting

Potentially lead a future offshore QA team on test automation/execution

Continue to support traditional manual testing efforts as required

Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications

Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation, and analysis efforts

Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement, and support a solution
